ViAnn Camara Chow Sowa

ViAnn Camara Chow Sowa, born in Kalopa, Hawaii, on March 31, 1922 to Louis and Alice Kon Len Liu Camara, passed away on May 25, 2014.
ViAnn married Edward C. Y. Chow of January 12, 1942, in Hilo, Hawaii. They were later sealed, along with their children in the Laie Hawaii LDS Temple. The Chow family moved to Ogden, Utah in 1954. Edward preceded ViAnn in death in 1974. ViAnn married Mitchell Sowa in 1984 and later divorced.
Our mother, grandmother, and granny especially loved her great-grandchildren. She always remembered birthdays and loved holding her Christmas Eve Family party.
ViAnn is survived by her daughters, Lois Ann (Gary) Kirchner and Jocelyn (Gene) Kawa; ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C.Y. Chow; son, Edward I.S. Chow; and grandson, Brett Ibrahim.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
