Vickey Lee Hansen

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Vickey Lee Johnson Hansen, 52, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital, following an 11 year battle with cancer.

She was born September 23, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to LaVon B. and Ruth Anne Walter Johnson. She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1974.

On March 12, 1982, Vickey married Andy Dale Hansen in Ogden, Utah.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

She was employed at Thiokol as a production specialist for 22 years.

Vickey was loving, caring and full of life. She was always somebody you could look to for strength.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. On the days she was feeling good and on the days she was feeling bad everything she did was completely heartfelt.

Vickey is survived by her husband of 27 years, Andy; three children, Paul (Aimee) Hansen, Syracuse; Amanda Hansen, Austin, TX; Ashley Hansen, Syracuse; four grandchildren, Kirsten, Harley, Braxton and Cole; five brothers, Steven R. Johnson, Bruce Johnson, James J. Johnson, Gilbert W. Johnson and Jeffery R. Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Timberly.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Syracuse 4th Ward Chapel, 1625 South 1100 West.

The family will meet friends on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
