Vicki L. Martin NORTH OGDEN – Vicki Lynn Martin, 52, died Friday, April 2, 2010 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 20, 1957 in Beeville, Texas, a daughter of Forrest Rex and Helen Elna Reid Martin. Vicki married James R. Westover. Together they had one daughter, Stephanie. They later divorced. She spent 17 years with Dan Bennett and his children, Darci Bennett, Ogden; Dannille Bennett, Portland, OR; and Derk Bennett, Ogden. Vicki enjoyed her remaining years with her love, Kelly Kirby, going to auctions and collecting antiques. She worked at various restaurants including Dee’s and Village Inn, ending her career as manager of Cactus Reds. Vicki is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Kelly Kirby, Ogden; her daughter, Stephanie Westover (Michael) Clement, Willcox, AZ; and two grandchildren, Jamie and Mason. Also surviving are four brothers, Ron Martin, Dallas, TX; Bob Martin, San Diego, CA; Scott (Jayne) Martin, Trinidad, CO; and Rick Martin, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Karen Geyer, nephew, Andrew Kimbrel, and her former husband, James R. Westover. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Comfort Suites Hotel, 2250 South 1200 West, Ogden, UT.
