Vicky A. Babbitt
ROY – Victoria “Vicky”Ann Babbitt, 72, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 in Roy.
She was born September 5, 1936 in Bartley, Nebraska, a daughter of Thomas Leo and Mary Elizabeth Baisch Harrison.
Vicky married William E. “Gene” Babbitt on November 18, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1979.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Vicky was involved with Project Linus – an organization which provides blankets for children. She loved her casino trips, road trips and traveling to the Oregon coast. Vicky loved to watch sports, especially college basketball and football.
Vicky was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister who always quietly helped her family and friends. She was very strong willed and strong minded, but still soft hearted.
Surviving are her children, Mark (Tammy) Babbitt, Morgan; Kirk (Carol) Babbitt, Bloomington, IL; Brent (Lisa) Babbitt, South Ogden; Tim (Christy) Babbitt, Rock Springs, WY; Tracy Babbitt, Longview, WA; Wendy (Scott) Lewis, Hooper; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Pat (Carol) Harrison, Bob (Phyllis) Harrison and Mary Cay Harrison.
Preceding Vicky in death were her parents, spouse, William E. “Gene” Babbitt, son, Daniel Richard “Boone” Babbitt, brother, Tim Harrison, and great-grandchild, Aumbrionna Eastvold.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
