CLEARFIELD – Victor George Baker, 100, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014.

He was born July 20, 1913 in Ogden, Utah to George Dempsey and Mary G. Tollifson Baker.  He was raised and educated in Ogden where he had his own crane business. During his life he also lived in Washington, Arizona and Idaho.

Victor married Leona Ruth Wheeler on July 4, 1938 in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Leona preceded him in death July 10, 1989.  He then married Helen Brown. She also preceded him in death on December 31, 2011.

He was a member of the Eagles and the Elks Lodge.

Victor is survived by two sons, George Baker, Jerry Baker and one sister, Lucille Green.

He was preceded in death by his wives, son John Baker, daughter Myrna Schultz, his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31st at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
