Victoria Ann Malone Nawacki Schkudor
December 9, 1947 ~ July 15, 2017
Ogden – Victoria Ann Malone Nawacki Schkudor, 69, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 15th after a long and diligent fight with Primary Progressive Aphasia.
Born in Detroit Michigan on December 9, 1947, she spent her early years working as a bank teller and was married to her first husband who passed from MS; together they had one daughter. Vikki then worked as a Secretary at Wayne State Medical School, Cancer Institute at Grace Hospital, where she met and married the love of her life and moved to Ogden, Utah in 1986. There, she attended Weber State University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science. If you knew Vikki, you know she loved to discuss and debate politics.
Among her many passions, perhaps the one she will be remembered most for was the joy she found in cooking. There was no recipe she couldn’t perfect, although “Mama’s torte” was quite a challenge. Vikki was kind, loving, often feisty, but had a huge heart. Sharing her home with family and friends was something that brought her great joy. She enjoyed working in her garden, had an immense love of the arts, and was fortunate to travel the world with her husband George.
Vikki leaves behind her husband George of 33 years, her beloved dog Bea, a daughter Barbara, three grandsons, a great-grandchild, her brother Jim, her extended Utah family, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her two parents and a brother.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Vikki’s caregivers from Comfort Keepers and Applegate Hospice. They truly were her special angels that treated her with such love and compassion during a difficult time.
A memorial service will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.| , followed by a celebration of her life at the Schkudor residence from 6:30 – 9 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society of Utah or Eccles Community Art Center where she served on the board for many years.
