Viet Hong Nguyen, Jr.

November 12, 1968~August 26, 2014

Viet Hong Nguyen, Jr., 45, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his home in Roy. He fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Viet was born on November 12, 1968 in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, Vietnam to Viet Hong Nguyen, Sr. and Bo Thi Le. Viet came to the United States about 23 years ago and worked as a Mechanical Engineer.

He married Thu (Nancy) Nguyen in September of 1993. Viet and Nancy own and operated Davi Nails Salon in Syracuse.

He enjoyed his family and friends and also enjoyed karaoke, soccer, and fishing.

Viet is survived by his loving wife, their daughter, Dawn Yen Nhi Nguyen; his son, Khoa Nguyen; father, Viet Hong Nguyen, Sr.; brothers, Khanh Nguyen and Linh Nguyen; sisters, Hanh Nguyen, Cuc Nguyen and Lynn Black. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Buddhist services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
