Vilate Rudd Allen

Vilate Rudd Allen LAYTON – Vilate Rudd Allen, 82, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008. She was born November 22, 1925, in Rexburg, ID, the daughter of Joseph H. and Virginia Bean Rudd. She was raised in St. Anthony, Idaho and married Elmer O. Allen on December 18, 1947 in Salt Lake City, UT. Vilate was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs. Survived by sons Greg (Mary) Allen, Clearfield; Terry (Athena) Allen, Salt Lake City; daughters Virginia (Bryce) Ragland, Layton; Kathy (Orval) Myers, Magna; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and parents. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, UT. Friends and family may call Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 at Lindquist’s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 So. State Street.
