LAYTON - Vincent R. Black wonderful husband, father, brother, grandpa and uncle passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008.

He was born on April 22, 1935 in Jeanette, PA the son of Lloyd and Laura Mae Davidson Black.

Vincent graduated from Jeanette High School in 1954 and served in the USAF.

He married Carol Hartman on September 13, 1958 in Jeanette, PA.

Vincent retired from Weber Basin Water in 2000.

He was a member of the Layton Hills Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife Carol, children Vikki (Mike) Zimmer of Cincinatti, Ohio; Bruce (Pam) Black of Syracuse; grandchildren, Adam Zimmer, New Orleans, LA; Markie Zimmer, Austin, TX; Corri Zimmer, Austin, TX; Faith Black, Syracuse; Sarah Black, Syracuse and Cassie Black, Syracuse. Also surviving are his brother Bob Black and sister Barbara (Jerry) Bach and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
