Vincent Lee Goodwin

Vincent Lee Goodwin, 61, of Roy, Utah died Monday, June 19, 2023, at Ogden Regional Hospital after a short illness.

Vince was born at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, December 29, 1961. He was married to the love of his life, Ellen, for 38 years. Together they shared the love of three 4 legged fur babies; Littlebit, TedEBear and Rocky.

Vince worked for the Department of Defense for 28 years, and after retiring in 2016, spent much of his free time on the golf course. As hard as he tried, he could not out drive his mother-in-law, who by way, was in her late 80's.

Vince enjoyed sports from a young age. Besides golf, Vince also was accomplished at pool. He joined a men's pool league that included his two best friends Louis Skillman, and brother-in-law Pat Ruybal.  For Vince, life couldn’t get any better than that.

Vince is survived by his spouse Ellen C. of Roy, UT, his brothers Michael J. Goodwin, and Billy D. Goodwin, of Ocean Springs, MS. He was proceeded in death by his parents Yvonne and Billy Joe Goodwin, of Gulfport, MS.

Friends may visit with family Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from  2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.

Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton,1867 N Fairfield Road.
