Viola B Martinez

Viola B Martinez Viola Martinez passed away peacefully Monday, May 11, 2009. She was 80 years old. She has joined her husband Alfredo Martinez, parents, two sisters, and a brother in Heaven. She was born in Truchas, New Mexico, May 9, 1929 and raised in Espanola, New Mexico. She has one surviving sister and brother. She is a retired elementary school teacher and taught for 21 years at Lincoln Elementary in Layton. She loved the kids she taught. In addition, she worked with the Head Start Program which she took pride in. Viola and her husband had our children, Issac Martinez, Eli (Bernice) Martinez, Alvi (Brent) Baker and David (Helen) Martinez. Her four children gave her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She loved them all very much. She is greatly loved by her family and friends and will be missed until we can see her again. There will be no services as she requested. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
