Violet May Brucker Roberts.

SOUTH OGDEN-Violet May Roberts 77, passed away on Friday August 26, 2011, she suffered a stroke several years ago and was homebound.

She was born March 28, 1934 to Walter G. Brucker and Ellen Tolhurts.

Violet married Richard Schultz in 1954. The two of them had nine children. They later divorced. She married Heber J. Grant Roberts on June 12, 1998. Their marriage was solemized in the Ogden LDS Temple on June 12, 2001.

She met Grant Roberts in 1959 when he was serving an LDS Mission in Ohio. They kept in contact for 40 years before they were married in Ogden, Utah.

She loved to read and had several collections.

Violet left behind eight children and two stepchildren, Thomas (Marji) Schultz, Sharyl (Tim) Brush, Richard Schultz, David (Helen) Schultz, Norman (Tammara) Schultz, Barbara (Charles) Allomong, Carolyn (Jason) Monsul, stepsons Jeffrey (Claudia) Roberts, Bradley (Tammy) Roberts.

Preceded her in death were her parents, son, Micheal Schultz, and grandson Jesse.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Birch Creek 5th Ward 4955 Adams Ave. Ogden.

Family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
