Virginia (Miller) Gibbany
Virginia (Miller) Gibbany passed away January 24, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She struggled with COPD for years.
She was born in Panguitch, Utah, Oct 1, 1939, to William Del and Myra (Cherrington) Miller.
She graduated from Panguitch High School in 1957. She completed Cosmetology at Salt Lake Technical College.
She married Richard (Dick) Gibbany on Oct 10, 1959, in Panguitch, Utah.
Mom started as a Cosmetology instructor. She worked as a beautician for many years. One might say she was the best ever!!!
Moms’ passion was golf. She was fortunate enough to be able to golf at many courses around the western States. She was the President of the Monday Night Ladies Golf. Also, the Men’s Associations at Schneiter’s Riverside & Bluff golf courses for many decades.
Mom enjoyed travelling with family and friends. Her motor home rarely had time to cool off. She loved rock hunting, fishing, painting, and many other activities.
She is survived by three daughters, Annette (Ernie) Gallamore, Lillian Porter, Colleen (Bobby) Owens. Daughter-in-law Cathy Gibbany. 14 Grandchildren, 19 Greatgrandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Richard Gibbany, parents Del and Myra Miller, two brothers, Arden Miller, Riley (Bobbie) Miller, sister, Lucille (Don) Bridges, son Scott Gibbany, stepson Kay Gibbany and great-grandson James Tebbs.
The family would like to thank Inspiration Home Health & Hospice for their wonderful care they provided to our mother and family.
Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
