Virginia F. Hogan

1918-2016

Virginia F. Hogan, age 98 of Bountiful, UT, formerly of York, NE, died Monday, November 14,

2016 at Welcome Home Assisted Living in Bountiful. She moved to Bountiful to be with her

daughter, Sue Bombard and family, in 2009. She was born April 8, 1918 in Memphis, TN to Fred and Addie (Poor) Elrod. She was married to Loran R. Hogan on January 2, 1940 in Dexter, MO.

Virginia was a stay at home mom. After Loran died in 1966 she worked as a school cook until

she retired at age 63. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in York.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Bombard of Bountiful; three grandchildren, Amy

(Trey) Bender of Los Angeles, CA, Matthew Bombard of Blackfoot, ID, and Adam (Michelle)

Bombard of Sandy; five great-grandchildren, Bailey Bombard and Jacob Bombard, Woods

Cross, Landry Bender of Los Angeles, and Kaltin Kirby and Kayleb Kirby of Sandy. Preceding

her in death were her parents and husband.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Welcome Home

Assisted Living and especially to all the aides she considered her “angels”. It was home to her

and she was happy there. Special thanks to Tender Care Hospice. There will be no local services.
