Virginia Marie Person

LAYTON - Virginia Marie Person, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016.

She was born January 2, 1938 in St. Gabriel, LA the daughter of Edward and Genora Benoit Hernandez.

She married John Clifford Person on August 16, 1958 in St. Gabriel, LA.  They lived in New Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado and Utah.

Virginia served her country in the United States Air Force.  She was a member of the V.F.W. auxiliary.  She was also a member of the Catholic faith.

Virginia loved watching baseball, and was a Cubs fan.  She also loved embroidering, sewing, stitching, needlework, and having her feet rubbed and she would bribe you any chance she could.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Person, daughters  Mary (Don) Jensen of Huntington, Utah, Barbara George of Price, Utah; grandchildren, Andy (Jennie) Jensen, Scott (Hollie) Jensen, Eric (Cortney) Jensen, Zachery (Reita) Jensen, Stacy Johnson, Christine (Caleb) Sitterud, Jennifer (Kegan) Jorgensen and 15 ½ great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her son Michael Wayne Person, her parents and her in-laws.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
