Virginia Tims Taylor

Virginia Tims Taylor decided she was ready to move on from this world after spending her 85th birthday celebrating beginnings and endings with her family and passed peacefully in the early morning hours of April 4th, 2025. Those who loved her will miss her more than words can say. Her great grand babies will miss bringing her medicine to her in the mornings and cheerfully bouncing into her living room with a hug and pleas to show her their recently learned dance move or skill. Her grand babies will reminisce about the movie nights and sewing lessons turned sleepovers at grandma’s and French toast in the morning. Her friends and extended family will reflect on the many vacations spent traveling and exploring together and the quiet afternoons working together around the quilt stand in the living room. Her babies will look back fondly on the woman that raised them. They will remember her making the most beautiful wedding cakes and delicious meals. They will strive to emulate her generosity and love for all she knew. And everyone of us will think of GG in every purple butterfly bush and lilac tree we see.

Virginia was born on April 3, 1940 in Stockton, Utah, and then made her home in Layton, Utah. She married her sweetheart Darrell Ross Taylor on April 15, 1960 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had 4 children, Darrell Ross Taylor Jr., Marianne (Michael) Walker, Bonnie (Jay) Benedict and Carrie Elizabeth (David) Larsen. Virginia has 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 more due in May.

The family thanks all those at AMG Senior Medical Group and Inspiration Hospice for their loving care of our mom these past few years.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 10, 2025 at 11a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends and family may visit Wednesday April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary .

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
