Virginia M. Ware

Virginia M. Ware ROY – Virginia May Ware, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Emcampment, Wyoming on June 22, 1927 to John Murray and Hazel C. Brierley Wombaker. She was raised on the ranch in Wyoming and learned how to work hard with her brother and sisters at an early age, but enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors. She married the love of her life, Everett E. Ware on July 6, 1944 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 3, 1955 after joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everett passed away May 21, 1993. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served as the Relief Society President twice and was a visiting teacher for 50 years. Virginia enjoyed serving others including her family and taking care of Everett’s every need until he passed away. She enjoyed camping, traveling, cooking, sewing and keeping a good home. She especially loved family gatherings and cooking for everyone. She is survived by her son, Warren (Karin) Ware; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Owens; a special Indian Placement Program daughter, Nora Damon, Sawmill, AZ; 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Finch, Rawlings, WY; and two sisters-in-law, Euteva Lisec, North Carolina; and Eloida Morse, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Ellis, her brother, Cliff and her sister, Evelyn Pantle. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to some special people of the Rose Wood Ward who have served so unselfishly for the past few months. Also, a special thanks to Vista Care Hospice for their loving service and the staff at Washington Terrace Health Services. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 1 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
