VIRGINIA LEE STOUT WILSON

1933 – 2021

Virginia Lee Stout Wilson, age 87, passed from this mortal life on January 5, 2021 in Layton, Utah due to pneumonia.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Wilson; sons:  Steven and Clifford; sister, Sandra Stout Butterfield; and parents, Delbert and Goldie Stout.

Virginia was born June 14, 1933. She married her high school sweetheart October 2, 1952 at the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. They lived in Kaysville, Utah for many years where she was a school lunch cook for 25 years. She thoroughly enjoyed music and sang with a group of ladies she worked with called the “Singing Kitchen Angels” for several years. Many neighborhood children learned to play the piano from her.

Virginia was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and magnified every calling that she had. She was a cub scout leader for many years and was active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Orchid Club. She also loved crafts, especially crochet and other needlework.

She loved people and enjoyed her associations with friends. Most of all she loved her family, and was a wonderful example of love and compassion to all. She will be dearly missed.
