Viva Denyse Bell
Viva Denyse Bell, born January 14. 1922 in Oakland, California daughter of Robert and Frances Peters Johnson, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2008 on Bountiful, Utah.
She is the beloved mother of Rebecca Rodgers of Bountiful, Utah; Charles Bell of Pleasant Grove, Utah and Linda Gadd of Fremont, California. She is the loving and thoughtful grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is a loved mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis Bell and her daughter Donna Descoteaux.
Denyse lived in Bountiful for the last two years of her life enjoying her youngest daughter and seven of her grandchildren. She had many friends among the staff, church leadership and residents of Legacy House. She always had a kind word for everyone and sought out those who might be lonely.
Before moving to Bountiful, Denyse was a long time resident of Vacaville, California and considered that her true home. She was seen race walking around Alamo Park into her late seventies. She was an avid reader and an engaging political conversationalist. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be remembered by family and friends for her gregarious, friendly and caring nature and for her wonderful sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call from 6-7 pm prior to the services. Interment Elmira Cemetery, Vacaville, California.
