Vivian Kawaguchi
Vivian Kawaguchi our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012. She was born on June 4, 1946 to Hideo and Yukiko Fujita Kawaguchi in Ogden, Utah.
She graduated from Clearfield High School and the University of Utah where she was on the Dean’s list. She was a Social Worker with Child Family Services in Colorado and Wyoming where she loved working with children.
Vivian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed the Relief Society sisters in New Harmony.
She loved to travel and be part of any family activity. She enjoyed scrapbooking. She was a great cook, enjoyed making crafts, but her best attribute was making friends.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Jeff) Robbins; grandchildren, Kelsie (Nate) Jones, Brady (Whitney) Robbins; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Keegan; mother, Yukiko; brothers, Steve (Debi) Kawaguchi, Greg Kawaguchi, and Curtis (Vicky) Kawaguchi; sisters, Gwen Kubota, Barbara Kawaguchi, and Kim Wempe and her special canine friend, Nigedi H. Kawaguchi.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hideo Kawaguchi; brothers-in-law, John Wempe and Yosh Kubota and sister-in-law, Pat Kawaguchi.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
