W. Owen Titmus
OGDEN – William Owen Titmus, 75, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. He was born November 25, 1933 in Ogden to Robert Henry Titmus and Annie Phipps Titmus.
Owen graduated from Ogden High School. After serving with the US Marine Corp he worked for the railroad. After 25 years, he retired from Hill Air Force Base. He married Utahna Greenhalgh and they later divorced. Prior to moving to S. Ogden, Owen resided in Clearfield and was a regular at the Heritage Senior Center.
He is survived by his two children and one grandchild – his daughter Debbie Titmus (Clearfield), and his son David Owen (Amy) Titmus and their daughter Charley Danielle Titmus (Pleasant View).
Owen was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters and one brother.
The family expresses enormous gratitude to Monica and her staff at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living for their kindness and support over the past few years, and to Hospice for Utah for their excellent care. “Thank you” does not begin to say what is in their hearts.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
