Wallace “Reid” Cameron, Jr.

Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Wallace “Reid” Cameron, Jr., 74, passed peacefully on January 4, 2021. He was born to Wallace Reid and Hilja Irene Cameron on December 10, 1946 in Bremerton, WA,
Reid enlisted in the US Navy on June 15, 1964 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as a Lt. Commander on March 31, 1987.
Reid married Heather Lynn Macpherson on February 27, 1982, in Las Vegas, NV. They enjoyed 38 years together before Reid’s passing.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and his Master’s in Business Administration from National University. Reid was deeply committed to his role as a First Aid and CPR instructor for the American Red Cross. He was also a proud lifelong member of the NRA.
Reid enjoyed travel and exploring the latest technology. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. After many years living in California, Reid and Heather moved to North Ogden, Utah where they have resided since July of 2015.
Reid is survived by his wife, Heather Lynn Cameron of North Ogden, UT; children, Reida (Tim) McCain of Elk Grove, CA; Chad (Anjali Devi) Cameron of Ogden, UT; Misty (Andrew) Smith of Clinton, UT; Sadie Cameron of Ogden, UT; and Bobby (Trevor) Robinson of North Ogden, UT; grandchildren, Seth Lossiah (Courtney) of NAS Whidbey Island, WA; Madeline Nelson, Mack Nelson, Samantha Howard, Andrew Cameron, Jaxson Smith, Isabelle Smith, and Austin Smith; great-grandchildren, Lilliana Lossiah, Mason Lossiah, and Tristan Lossiah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Hilja Cameron and brother, Ronald Cameron.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Ogden, 880 28th Street. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Reid will be laid to rest at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
