Wallace Hugh Moss
Wallace Hugh Moss, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. He was born in Layton, Utah on November 18, 1928, the son of Hugh Alvin and Virginia Young Moss.
He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps.
Wallace lived in Layton until he married the love of his life, Florence Roman on September 24, 1949 in Elko, Nevada. After they were married they moved to Ogden where he resided until the time of his death.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He worked as an engineer for Mountain Bell. Wallace was a member of the Elks Golden Spike Lodge 719 and a life member of the Qwest Pioneers.
Wallace loved to travel with his family, golf, and go camping. Wallace especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Wallace is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence, North Ogden; daughter, Wendy (Greg) Clarke, North Ogden; 5 grandchildren, Ronald, Jared, and Christopher Hennessy, Haylee Fine, and Shayn Moss; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrel (RoLayne) Moss, Honeyville, and Lloyd Moss, Portland, OR; and sisters, Erma (Wayne) Love, North Salt Lake, and Mrs. Terrell (Ann) Stone, Layton.
He was preceded in death by his son, Martin W; parents, and sister, Shirley Lasater.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
