Wallace E. Stegen
OGDEN a" Wallace Edward Stegen, 78, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Ogden.
He was born March 14, 1932 in Ogden, a son of Samual V. and Lucille Fowler Stegen.
On January 29, 1955, Wallace married Bonnie McKay in Ogden.
He was raised and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School and Weber State College.
Wallace served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He worked as an inspector for Defense Depot Ogden retiring after many years of service.
Wallace enjoyed woodworking, yard work, but most of all, spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie, of Ogden; two sons, Wallace Scott (Lisa) Stegen, Ogden; Paul "Guss" (Heidi) Stegen, Clearfield; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Stegen and Carl (Liz) Stegen.
Preceding Wallace in death were his parents and one son, Mark E. Stegen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road where Military Honors will be accorded.
