Wallace “Tod” Leroy Omer

Wallace Leroy Omer, 92, passed away on October 18, 2018 from an extended illness.
He was born on April 5, 1926 the son of Fred A. and Helen Barton Omer and raised in Deer River, Minnesota, where he married Alyce Nelson. They later moved to Utah in 1951.
Wallace served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after working there for 31 years.
He enjoyed hunting and camping, but his true love was fly fishing on the Ogden River.
Tod is survived by sons, Dennis (Anna) Omer of Fremont, CA, and Mark (Cheryl) Omer of Ogden; two grandchildren, Ryan (Kristen) of San Diego, CA, and Shera of South Ogden; two great-grandchildren, Zackery and Samantha of San Diego, CA; sisters, Sharon and Audrey; and brother Bob.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alyce, his parents, three brothers, one sister, and daughter, Cindy.
The family would like to thank the Gardens Assisted Living, and Alisa and Mariam of Symbii Hospice for the special care and support of Dad.
Private graveside services were held at the Clearfield Cemetery per his wishes.
