Walter A. Ben, Jr. (Big Ben) January 2, 1949 a€" November 6, 2008

LAYTON - Walter A. Ben Jr., is survived by wife Deborah A. Ben; children, Lamont, Andrew, Latasha, Kamilla, Adrian and Cicely and grandfather to fifteen grandkids; mother Hazel Ben and sister Connie Hampton. We, his family, celebrate his departing with the assurance that he is now in the very presence of his Savior.

At the age of seventeen, Walter began his service in the United States Air Force, and through the influence of his mother and the Holy Spirit he later began his lifelong service to God. He strived to have Jesus Christ renew every aspect of his life, being a Christ-like example to his family, serving, teaching and preaching Jesus Christ; the one and only God, and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Proverbs 3:5-6

A memorial service will be held at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 1770 East 6200 South, South Ogden, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. Friends and family may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
