Wanda Hendricks

Wanda Jo McCrary Hendricks, 59, passed away quietly in her sleep on July 18, 2016 in Clearfield, Utah.

Wanda was born on August 22, 1956 in Ogden, Utah to Gary J. McCrary and Ernestine “Tina” Rivera Hernandez.

She graduated from Custer County High School in Miles City, Montana.  While in Montana she met and married the love of her life Jerry Joe Hendricks.  They relocated to Auburn, California to start their life together.

Wanda was ambitious and despite her chronic pain due to Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis she led an active life.  She had a constant smile on her face and always tried to look on the bright side of things.  She had a great sense of humor and always believed that laughter was the best medicine.

Wanda had a successful career as an accountant in Placer, California and eventually retired and moved to Utah.  Wanda enjoyed camping, doing puzzles, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and she was very close to her 4-legged family members Isabelle and Libby.

Wanda was a member of the LDS Church 11th Ward in Clearfield.

She is survived by her son: Warren David Hendricks and his fiancée Lora Riedle, Clearfield; step-father, Armando Hernandez, Ogden; step-mother, Florene McCrary, Clinton; her eight siblings, Chris (Simon) Perez, Catherine (Dana) Goddard, Shelva (Scott) Gaudette, Patricia (Bobby Gibson) Rainey, Phyllis Sherrod, Rhonda (Lynn) Petrie, Gary Brent (Tammy Watson) McCrary and Rick Rainey.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Hendricks, parents, Gary McCrary and Tina Hernandez and her beloved dog “Isabelle.”

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
