Waters Forrest Brent

LAYTON - Forrest Brent Waters, 65, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, November 24, 2008, after suffering from complications due to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Brent was born May 4, 1943, in Salina, Utah, to Forrest Waters and Eda Lewis. He was raised in Ogden, Utah, and lived in Layton for 33 years. He married Ann Schofield in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 1, 1967.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 through 1972. He worked for White Motor Company; Terra Firma; Owner, Lezon''s Food Distribution for 12 years; and the Davis School District prior to retiring.

He loved spending time in the outdoors with family and friends. He was a master mechanic, welder, and loved fixing things along with serving other people.

He was an active member of the LDS church and served in several auxiliary positions including bishoprics and the scouting program.

He is survived by his dear wife, Ann, children, Paul (Marshelle) Waters of Layton; Denise (Mike) Hibbetts of Roy; Keith (Mandy) Waters of Layton; Troy (Jody) Waters of Layton; Kyle Waters of Murray; Dustin Waters of Clearfield; ten grandchildren; his mother, Eda Waters of Ogden; brothers, Veldon (Shirley) Waters, Evon (Cynda) Waters, Lyle (Kelly) Waters, Larry Waters; sister, Kathy (Ed) Stuart; foster sister, Maisie Jensen and many family members as well as friends who loved and cared about him. He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Waters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Snow Creek LDS Chapel, 845 North 1150 East, Layton, UT. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road and Saturday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 North Fairfield Road, where military honors will be accorded.
