Wayne Garn Hall
Wayne Garn Hall passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born January 11, 1936 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Jick Hall and Ruby Birch Hall.
He married the love of his life Horaldene (Holly) Quigley Hall on November 10, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are eternal best friends and shared an amazing relationship for 53 years.
They were blessed with four children. Wayne’s family and the Gospel were the focus of his life. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many ward and stake callings, most recently as an Ogden Temple worker. Together, Wayne and Holly served in the Nauvoo, Illinois Mission (1999 – 2000).
Wayne and Holly, along with partners Ferrel and Shirley Gailey, built the successful excavation company Hall & Gailey, Inc. Wayne and Holly later formed Hall Enterprises Inc. Through that process, they taught their children the value of hard work. Wayne accomplished much each day, whether in his own yard, on his tractor in the fields, or in service to his family, ward and neighborhood.
He served as a Syracuse City Councilman and on the Davis County Planning Commission. Wayne and Holly shared the blessing of a great group of friends with whom they shared life’s journeys.
He is survived by his wife, Holly and children: Gary (Judy) Hall, Valerie (Allan) Burk, Charon (Michael) Bird, all of Syracuse, UT; Vonette (Gary) Kerr, Eden, UT; 24 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
