Wayne King Poulsen

Wayne was born and raised in Plain City, Utah, and upon completion of his schooling moved to Ogden, Utah.  He later moved to Fresno, California and ultimately retired with his wife Shirley in Friant, California.

Wayne was educated in the Weber County School District and was a member of the LDS Church.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base, Marquardt, and Flamco.  He later launched a successful career in the Recreational Vehicle Sales Industry.

Wayne was a member of the National Guard.

He was an avid boater and loved RVing with his wife, Shirley, family, and friends.

Wayne is survived by his children, Bart and Kristen Udink, Ann and Jeff Sims, Mike Nielsen, Laurie and Gay Johnson, Randy Johnson, Joy and Jace Brandon, Mike Poulsen, Brian and Cindy Johnson, Doug and Sallee Obray, and Janet Beachler; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Janet Roddom and Connie Esplin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Fryer Poulsen; daughter, Sandy Tafoya; his parents, Bernard and Nora Poulsen; sisters, Doris Stark and Peggy Poulsen; and brother-in-law, Ronald Roddom.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January, 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City 6th Ward, 2350 North 4350 West. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
