HOOPER- Wayne C. Walker passed away peacefully at his home on February 27, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 7, 1931 in Lyman, Wyoming to Vernon and Iva Eardley Walker.

Wayne lived a long and happy life doing what he loved. He was well known for his lifelong profession of training horses. He had a love for horses that was only matched by the love that he had for his family and many friends. His ever ready jokes and funny stories will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janina G. Walker, his son Richard and Jill and their children, Fallon, Cierra, and Cooper. Sons, Tom (Patty) Walker, Bob (Lisa) Walker, daughter, Linda (Tim) Braeden, and 9 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Trulon (Lula Mae), Gilbert (Virginia), Ken (Ann), two sisters, Ethel and Blanche and one sister-in-law, Alice.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Howard, Allan and June.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Friends and family may call Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
