Welborn “Roger” Moosman
Roger was born September 12, 1926, in Logan, Utah. He passed away on October 16, 2016 at the age of 90. He married Agnes Rose Kirk in Rome, New York. They we married 66 years, eight months and ten days. According to grandpa the day grandma died. Roger served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war ended he enlisted in the US Air Force. He retired in 1984 from Hill AFB, after 36 years of service as an aircraft mechanic.
Roger and Agnes moved to Idaho and then to Utah where they had and raised nine children and three grandchildren. Christine, Paul, David, Linda, Mary, JoAnn, Howard, Twins Wayne and Wendy, Tina, Christen, and Tonia.
Sunday October 16, 2016, we lost our man of very little words. Grandpa was a kind, quiet, intelligent man; when he spoke it was done with great wisdom. He loved computers, as well as tinkering, camping, hunting, and fishing. Roger was the oldest of thirteen kids and still had the most hair. He loved to spend time with his brothers and sisters reminiscing about their happy childhood. His kids and grandkids always looked forward to the cheesy grin he displayed when they walked through the door.
Roger is survived by his children, Paul (Jackie) Brookneal, VA, Howard (LaRae) Layton, UT, Wayne Pittsburgh, KS, Christine Mulvaney (Paul), Egar, AZ, Linda Frans, Ogden, UT, Mary Wright (Russell), Logansport, IN, JoAnn Carlson (Randy) West Bountiful, UT, Wendy Washecheck, Grand Junction, CO. His brothers and sisters; Dale, Reed, Theron, Mark, Joy and Verley, 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, Eight great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his wife Agnes, his grandson Jason Ralph Carlson and great-grand-daughters Hannah and Halee Milewski.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.
