Wendell A. Law

Wendell A. Law Wendell A. Law, 85 of Kaysville, Utah returned to his heavenly home on a beautiful Sunday morning, July 7, 2013 after a seventeen year battle with Alzheimer disease. He was born September 14, 1927 in Bountiful, Utah to Samuel Charles William and Ruth Ann Ashby Law. Wendell married his eternal companion Leone Stewart of Kaysville, Utah on June 29, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. He attended Davis High School and the University of Utah, where he graduated as an electrical engineer. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Later, he earned a pilot license, joined the Civil Air Patrol with his wife Leone and did a lot of flying, which he loved. He worked as an electrical engineer, mainly in communications. Most of his career was spent in the U.S. space program. Whenever spaceships were launched he participated on a communications crew. He created and patented several improvements in his field. Wendell loved animals, riding horses, wiring houses, gardening, farming, flying, and the outdoors. He cherished his wife and family and constantly voiced loved for them. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithful in living the Gospel his whole life, serving in many positions, including HP group leader, mission leader, and ward clerks. He and Leone served in the England, Manchester mission. Service was a large part of his life. He always wanted to be “useful” and would ask, “What can I do to help?” Wendell is survived by his dedicated and loving wife of 64 years Leone, his five children, Katherine (David) Johnson, Diane Law, Robert (Robyn) Law, Janet (Robert) Van Hoff, and Brent (Lori) Law, all of Kaysville; two sisters Lorraine Moss, Gladys Bartchi, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, sisters and one granddaughter. He would want his loving wife to know of his deep love and appreciation for her endless hours of service and care in his behalf, and each of his posterity to know how much he appreciated every act of kindness and care. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Angel Park Chapel, 205 S. Angel Street. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
