Weston Scott Whitley

OGDEN- Weston Scott Whitley was received into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 5, 2011.

He was born on June 20, 1986 at Clark Air Base in the Phillipines to Lowell and Jill Whitley.

Weston loved the sun and everything it gave life to. He loved God more than anything and was a light and an example to all of those around him. He completed a successful LDS Mission in Brazil and in life. He also attended Weber State University.

Weston loved spending time with his nephews and cousins, sharing his unique way of popping popcorn.

He was a talented musician and could play anything he picked up. His family and friends loved to hear him sing and play his guitar. He loved his wife with all of his heart and was excited about the arrival of his son in September.

He is survived by his wife, Tara Whitley, his parents, Lowell and Jill Whitley, his sisters, Amberly (Joshua) Johnson, Amanda (Joseph) Cross, Amy Whitley (is currently serving a mission in the Phillipines) and brother Steven; his grandparents, George and Nancy Whitley and Theo and Ruth Thornock Maisey. He is loved and will be missed by so many, including his adoring sisters- in-law. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Roy North Park Stake, 2175 West 4250 S., with Bishop Nathan Zimmerman officiating.

Family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd and Wednesday, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m, at the church.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.

A memorial account has been set up at American First Credit Union, where donations may be made in lieu of flowers. The family would like to express thanks for all the love, support and prayers that have been offered.
