Our giving, loving, patriarch of the family, William Everett Andersen, 58, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his home of natural causes.
He was born April 9, 1954 in Portland, Oregon to Earl Everett and Harriette Mae Kirwan Andersen. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years. While in the Air Force, he served in Alaska, the Philippines, California, North Dakota and Cannon AFB in New Mexico, where he met Jennie the love of his life. On August 4, 1988, Bill married Jennie Carmel Martinez in Ogden, Utah.
He worked as a fireman at Hill Air Force Base for 19 years. He was a Firefighters Union Steward while at Hill and represented the firefighters at military bases all over the nation. He received many awards related to being a firefighter and was so proud to have served.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jennie; his son from a previous marriage, Alex (Maybelle) Andersen-Fontenarosa, one grandson, AJ Fontenarosa; four brothers, John Andersen, David Andersen, Gary Andersen, Donovan Andersen; one sister, Linda (Rick) Hernick; a sister-in-law, Luci (Alan) Thomas; and a niece, Naomi Martinez (Paul Carter); Naomi''s children, Isaiah and Jayden Martinez.; and his beloved pets, Pepper and Baily.
Bill was a very giving and caring person, with a great love for his wife and family. He will be missed.
