William (Bill) Roe Baker

William (Bill) Roe Baker, age 92, quietly passed away on December 24, 2013 at the home of his daughter, Sandi, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on February 7, 1921 in Escalante, Utah, the second child of Charles Henry Baker and Zina Roe.

He married his little "sugar" Wanda Pedersen on November 17, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. He enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his county in the Pacific as a Navy Sea Bee in WWII.

They were blessed with four children, Judi, William David, Sandra, and Richard LaThair.

After retiring from Mt. Bell he and Wanda and their little dog "Buffy" bought a motor home and traveled all over the United States for several years with many dear friends.

Surviving are his daughter Sandi and son Rick. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by Eternal Companion Wanda, son David, daughter Judi, his parents and four siblings.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 East Crestwood Road. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
