William K. "Bill" Barnes, 80, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 in his home.
He was born December 15, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Zelma Drake. He was raised by his grandparents Pelham W. and Mimmie L. Barnes. He graduated from East High School and attended the University of Utah for a short time. He married Joyce Xanthos (Keysaw) in 1951 and had three children, Tanna B. Wilkes, Kip W. Barnes, Terrill A. Barnes. a" Later divorced. He married Edna C. Anthon in September of 1977. A welder by trade, he loved to dance and spend time with his family. He spent the last 18 winters in his Surprize, Arizona Villa riding his motorcycle and exploring the countryside. He was a member of the LDS church.
Bill is survived by his wife Edna, three children and their spouses, six grandchildren; Shanny Wilson, Clint Wilkes, Melinda Barnes, Tezz Barnes, his pen pals Megan Barnes and Aimee Sauer Barnes. Three great grandchildren; Kayla and Anthony Wilson, and Lennon Llorin. Two half brothers; Johnny and Richard Loader, one half sister; Joan Hagland (deceased) and four step children; Rodney Anthon, Greg Anthon, Kathy Gale and Brad Anthon.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 30th at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet friends from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
