LIBERTY - William Dennis "Denny" Daffron, 70, lifetime Ogden area resident passed away peacefully in his home in Liberty of natural causes on September 3, 2013.
The son of William and Pearle Olsen Daffron, Denny was born on February 19, 1943 in Ogden, graduated from Ogden High School, Class of 1961, and married his high school sweetheart, Colleen Nylander. They later divorced.
He then married Julie Stephens, and after she passed away in February of 1983 he remained single, but devoted to his extended family, whom he dearly loved.
Denny worked as a Journeyman Lineman for Utah Power & Light for 38 years before retiring. A proud member of the NRA and an active competitive dog showman, Denny loved raising and showing shelties, especially his recent champion show dog "Danny".
He will be remembered most for the love he had for his family, friends, the outdoors and his beloved Shelties.
Denny is survived by his brother, Spencer J. (Christine) Deschamps and nephew, Taylor J. Deschamps, all of St. Helens, Oregon; and cousins, Nancy (Paul) Camarote from Maple Grove, Minnesota and Robert Gus from Port St. Lucie, Florida.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Private interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
