William Bryant Foggo

November 30, 1933 ~ June 3, 2014

Our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, William Bryant Foggo, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.  He was born on November 30, 1933 the son of Robert Perry and Lucille Virginia Bryant Foggo.  He was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.

William joined the Air Force and was stationed at Hill Air Force Base where he met and married Betty Lou Smith in Ogden, and later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.  They moved to Memphis in 1956 and returned to Utah in 1959.  They celebrated their 61 ^st Wedding Anniversary in August of 2013.

He worked as a pressman at Litton Industries and was a cutter and mechanic at Sierra Lingerie, and  general equipment inspector at Hill Air Force Base.

William was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed being an Ogden Temple worker.

He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, construction, and rebuilding cars.  William and Betty enjoyed traveling together.

William is survived by his son, Stephen R. (Carla) Foggo, West Haven; daughters, Patrice F. (Jack) Rupe, Syracuse; LuAnne Foggo Tracy, Roy; and Charlene (Jimmy) Tippetts, Draper; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Betty Davis, Mae Braddock, and Pat (Steve) Hester.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty S. Foggo; parents, Robert P. Sr. and Lucille Virginia Bryant; brother, Robert P. Foggo, Jr.; and Melvin Smith, brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 5 ^th Ward, 350 West 5100 South.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
