William Jeffery Hopper
March 16, 1941 – March 17, 2017
FARMINGTON – William Jeffery Hopper, 76, passed away at the Rocky Mountain Care Center on March 17, 2017. He was born March 16, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas to Francis Amos Hopper and Roberta Jean Wyatt. He married Lisbeth Møller in Las Vegas on March 18, 1966. He later married Elaine Hurst on October 16, 1976 in Laie, Hawaii.
Bill had a great sense of humor, an inquisitive mind, and was loved by everybody. He enjoyed reading as a means to broaden both his spirit and mind. He also loved travel, music and was always one of the first to adopt the latest technologies and gadgets. He was a perpetual entrepreneur and inventor. There are very few professions or activities he never tried.
Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission.
He is survived by his wife Elaine and their sons Joseph Bradley (Christine) Hopper, Douglas James (Eden) Hopper, as well as his former wife Lisbeth and their son Mark Allen (Joy) Hopper. Bill has 12 amazing grandchildren, 6 granddaughters and 6 grandsons. Allen, Summer, Stori, Aspen, Skye (Mark&Joy). Nolan, Saylor, Colton, Boden (Brad&Christine). Jaeden, Weston, Emerson (Doug &Eden). He is also survived by his siblings James (Linda) Hopper and Judi (Danny) Cross.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his and Lisbeth's infant son Jeffery.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
