William James Moore was born in Auburn, West Virginia on July 18, 1937.
Bill served in the US Air Force for many years and retired as a Msg Sargent. He also served as a member of the Utah National Guard.
Bill worked in various business operations before retiring from Freedom Insurance Agency.
He was a member of the Latter-Day Saints church where he was a high priest instructor. He was also involved in the Scouts program.
In Bills free time he enjoyed building model trains and airplanes. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of North Davis.
While researching to find his birth father for several years, Bill was surprised to find a daughter he never knew about. She, like him, had been searching for her father.
In 2021 they both were able to meet. Bill and his daughter Kendy, spent numerous hours visiting on the phone and catching up on the past.
Bill is survived by his wife Utahna Sjostrom Moore, son; William Troy Moore, daughter; Michelle (Aaron) Swain, Seattle WA, and Kendy Kay (Fred) Roth of Eden NC. He has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bills siblings, Sue Myers of Rowlesburg, WVA, brother; Fred (Carol) Miner of Morgantown, WVA and sister-in-law Mary Miner of Albright, WVA.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lucille M. Moore Miner, sisters; Louise Moore, Penny (Roy) Hedrick, Marie Queen, and Charles Miner.
The family would like to thank the many doctors who took care of Bill over the years.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
