Together Again William Leon Postel OGDEN – William Leon Postel, 93 passed away at home Saturday, April 17, 2010. He was born on April 29, 1916 in Logan, Utah to Jacob and Mary Jensen Postel. William worked for Pacific Intermountain Express and Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held several positions. He married Lorna Belle Nelson on May 4, 1940 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. William had a love for camping, square dancing. He also loved to spend his winters in Arizona and traveling with his lifelong love, “Diddy”. He is survived by his son, Robert (Colleen) Postel, his daughter, Janis Postel Hemming, and sister, Rachel Lindley. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Preceding him in death are his wife, Lorna, his parents, four brothers, Homer Postel, Raymond ”Ray” Postel, Jesse Postel, Harry Postel, and two sisters, Bertha Rodriquez and Venise Postel. Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with the family at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A special thank you to Legacy Health Care.
