William Sipes

William (WT) Thomas Sipes, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and great-uncle, died July 30, 2015.  WT was born June 13, 1932 in Garrett, Kentucky to Sudie Greenwell and Richard Sipes.  He married Kiyoko Kariya August 14, 1953 at the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.

He is a veteran of the Korean War and was a civilian employee of the USAF as Chief of three separate divisions.  After his retirement, he devoted himself to caring for his handicapped granddaughter, Joey.

WT is survived by his wife, Kiyoko; his daughters Sharon Sipes and Bobbi (Dan) Sipes Martin; his grandchildren Jason (Lisa) Smith, Joey Stephens and Ashley Martin; great-grandchildren Kolten (Sarah) Smith and Kyle Yepez; brothers Eddie (Deanie) Sipes, John Sipes and Alan (Theresa) Sipes; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
