William Steele

William T. Steele

William T. Steele, born October 25, 1940, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, passed peacefully at his home on January 13, 2022, in Woods Cross, Utah (age 81), surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Joyce M. (Strom) Steele (2009).

Joyce and Bill were married for 45 years; she was the love of his life.

He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter Aspen N. Simpson (2002), mother Elizabeth Rawlings Sparks (2017), father William Steele, and sister Betty Lou, as well as by his dog Ginger who departed one day earlier.

He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter Dawn M. Simpson, his son Bill Steele, Jr., grandson William Steele, and adopted granddaughter Bridget Holt, siblings: Richard, Mary, Donna, Jeff, and Jim, as well as by many other family members.

Bill loved to read, especially Stephen King books. He enjoyed cooking, watching wrestling, boxing, and western shows. He had fond memories of fun times racing at the sand drags with family and friends. He loved hanging out with his dog Ginger, family and friends.

He will be missed greatly and loved always! Love you Dad! A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
