William Harvey Stirling
William Harvey Stirling, 51, our father, brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 1, 2014 in Fruit Heights, Utah.
William was born to William Merrill Stirling and Katherine Harvey Stirling on June 8th, 1963 in Ogden, Utah and he was raised with his three brothers in Fruit Heights. He graduated from Davis High School in 1981. William earned the Eagle Scout Award. He served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wisconsin & Illinois. He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Psychology and was self-employed.
William married Kristin Daniels in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on January 21, 1995 and is the father of Brianne, Brinlee, and Dallan. They lived in Fruit Heights and Morgan, Utah. They were later divorced.
He immensely enjoyed the outdoors by camping, hunting, fishing, etc. He was an excellent bow hunter and has taken several trophy deer and elk. He enjoyed riding his mules and horses in the backcountry of the Uintah Mountains. William enjoyed working in his shop and making all types of woodwork and beautiful woodcarvings. He also created a few inventions that he wanted to patent. He had an eye for art and was an accomplished wildlife artist and even tried his hand at taxidermy.
William is survived by his children, Brianne, Brinlee, and Dallan, parents, Merrill and Katherine Stirling, brothers Britton (Lori), David (Danielle), and Robert (Cheryl), and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the South Mountain Road Chapel, 901 S. Mountain Road, Fruit Heights. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
