William Lewis Tilley

On Thursday, August 13, 2009, Bill passed away from leukemia and congestive heart failure. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 25, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas. He was the oldest of six children.

After joining the U.S. Army at a young age he was stationed in Germany where he met his lovely wife, Ria. They have been married for 30 years. They moved to Utah 23 years ago when Bill began his career at the Weber School District. He has been the school bus Shop Foreman for 11 years. Bill always had a strong work ethic and was a leader at the Weber School District. The new bus shop in West Haven has been named after him.

His favorite hobbies were fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. Bill also enjoyed studying the Bible and spending time with his family on his back porch.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ria; his sons, Stephen, Timothy, and Justin; his daughter, Michelle; his brothers, James (Heidi) and Shawn (Anna); his sisters, Wendy (Don), and Jolene; and his father, Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda, and his brother, Terry.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph''s Catholic Church, 514- 24th Street.

Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary at 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

A memorial luncheon will be held at the William "Bill" Tilley Bus Shop, 2074 West 2100 South, West Haven, following the services, approximately 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations will be accepted to offset medical and funeral expenses.

Bill''s family would like to offer a special thank you for all the support from his friends, the Weber County School District and St. Joseph''s Catholic Church. "We thank you for your prayers."
