William Jasper Turner

Wild Bill Turner LAYTON – William Jasper Turner, 88, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. He was born February 18, 1925 in Lewiston, Utah the son of Walter Jasper and Mattie Berdie Clarkson Turner. Bill married Margaret Wiser on March 19, 1947 in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on August 12, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from HAFB. Bill enjoyed working for his best friend Jim at the Husky Service Station and liked cars. Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving are his children: Denise, John Paul, Jeremy David, Malynda Marie (Kerry) Allred, Tricia, grandchildren and sister, Mattie B. Monsen. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, sisters, sons, Sidney C., Rodney J., Neil Turner and daughter Renee. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lewiston, Utah Cemetery. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
