Bill, 84, passed away peacefully at home. He was born to George and Emma Vincent. He married his high school sweetheart, Lois Kroll, March 18, 1950. They raised four children together.
Bill grew up in Salt Lake City. He enlisted in the US Navy after graduating from high school. After marrying Lois they moved to San Diego for a short time while on a military assignment. They moved to Layton to raise their family. Bill worked at HAFB for 37 years He retired in 1986 as the Director of Logistics. With this job they moved to several different areas, but always returned to their home in Layton. After retiring, Bill and Lois loved to travel and were able to visit many foreign countries.
Bill was a member of the LDS Church. He was a member of the American Legion. He had been involved with the Jaycees, serving as local president. For several years he and Lois were volunteer ushers at the Layton Amphitheater, enjoying the opportunity to meet and greet people.
Bill leaves behind a loving wife, Lois, and his children: Dan (Liz), Layton; Jon (Colleen), Anaheim Hills, CA; Ellen (Scott Anderson), Layton; Ryan (Laurie), Clinton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and one great-grandson, Corby.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family from 8 to 8:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
