WILLIAM W. WHITE
1928-2019
William W. White 91, passed away peacefully October 17, 2019, in Bountiful, Utah of complications following a very short illness.
He was born August 20, 1928, in Petaluma, California to Dr. Floyd H. and Louise Peterson White. He married Donna Rhees November 22, 1950, in the Logan Temple. His early years were spent in San Rafael, California, graduating from San Rafael High School, where he excelled in baseball during his high school days and was voted the most valuable player his senior year. He attended The University of California at Davis and graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Business Administration.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corp as a 1st Lieutenant, being discharged in 1953. He has lived in Bountiful since 1962. His professional career was in the consumer finance business. He worked for Fidelity Acceptance Corporation for 23 years, serving as an Area Supervisor for the states of Utah, Idaho, California and Wyoming. Later, he joined J I Case Credit Corporation as an Area Office Manager with responsibilities for several western states until retirement.
He loved sports and had season tickets for many years to Utah, Utah State and BYU football and basketball games. He also loved to travel and especially enjoyed going to Palm Springs, Carmel and San Diego areas during the winter months.
He was an active and faithful servant of our Father in Heaven, serving in many priesthood positions throughout his life, including many years as a part-time missionary in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Membership Department and as an Ordinance Worker in the Bountiful Temple from 1997 to 2015.
He loved his family, and his family loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by them.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brother Floyd H. White, Jr., and his granddaughter Stephanie Hall. He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Kathlyn (Wayne) Osmond, Debra (Brad) Warburton; 7 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Murray, of Logan, Utah; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, October 19th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E., Bountiful, Utah. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm at Ben Lomond Cemetery 526 E. 2850 N., North Ogden, Utah.
