William (Bill) Brown

WILLIAM (BILL) BROWN

1930-2021

William Lane Brown, our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2021 at his daughter’s home in West Valley, Utah.

Bill was born on November 28, 1930 in Granger, Utah, to Harvey T. and Ruth Harman Brown.  After graduating from Cyprus High School, Bill attended Salt Lake Area Vocational School, studying Refrigeration.  He served in the US Air Force stationed in Japan during the Korean War.  In 1954 Bill married LaRee Page in the Salt Lake City Temple.

He is survived by his children; Denise (Rick) Munro, Deb Brown, Tina (Eric) Francis, Layne (Holly) Brown, and Todd (Keo) Brown; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; also one brother, Frank Brown.

Preceded in death by his wife LaRee Page Brown, son Ryan Brown, parents Harvey and Ruth Harman Brown, brother Robert Brown, daughter-in-law Mary Kroeger, grandson Ian Munro and great-grandson Cooper Munro.

Bill enjoyed many activities including fishing, building HO scale train cars and layout, gardening and recently traveling with his family.  At age 88 he crossed off a bucket list item by sky diving with his daughter and two grandchildren.  Bill’s greatest enjoyment came from having his family around him.

A public Viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, at the Bountiful 25th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1500 S. 600 E. Bountiful, UT.  Friends may visit with the family from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W. Bountiful, Utah.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Bill’s memory to a food bank of your choice.
